This Privacy Policy explains how GSDev Engineering Tools (“the App”) handles information when you use the application.

The App is a practical electronics calculation and protocol reference utility intended for technicians, installers, students, makers, hobbyists and engineers.

1. Information We Collect

The current version of GSDev Engineering Tools does not collect, store, transmit or share personal information.

The App does not require account registration and does not ask users to provide personal information such as:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Physical address
• Location information
• Contacts
• Photos or media

2. Calculator and User Input Data

Values entered into calculators and engineering tools are processed locally on the user's device.

Calculation inputs and calculated results are not transmitted to GSDev or stored on a remote GSDev server.

3. Offline Operation

The core calculator and reference functions of GSDev Engineering Tools are designed to operate offline.

An Internet connection is not required for the App's core engineering calculations and reference functions.

4. Device Permissions

The current version of the App is designed to operate without requesting sensitive Android permissions.

The App does not currently require access to:

• Location
• Camera
• Microphone
• Contacts
• SMS messages
• Call logs
• Photos or media
• Personal files

Future versions may include hardware communication functions. If additional Android permissions become necessary, only the permissions required for those functions will be requested, and this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

5. RS485, Modbus and External Hardware

GSDev Engineering Tools may include, or may be expanded to include, engineering communication tools for protocols such as RS485 and Modbus.

These functions may require compatible external communication hardware, such as a supported USB or serial communication adapter.

Communication data exchanged with connected industrial or electronic equipment is used for the engineering, testing or diagnostic function requested by the user.

The App is not intended to transmit RS485 or Modbus protocol traffic to GSDev.

If a future version introduces Bluetooth, USB, network, cloud or other communication features that affect data handling, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe those functions.

6. Analytics and Tracking

The current version of GSDev Engineering Tools does not use:

• Third-party analytics platforms
• Advertising identifiers
• Behavioural tracking
• User profiling

7. Advertising

The current version of the App does not display third-party advertising.

GSDev does not sell, rent or provide personal user information to advertisers.

8. Third-Party Services

The current version of the App does not intentionally transmit personal information to third-party services.

Standard Android and Google Play platform services may process technical information as part of application download, installation, updates, security and normal Android operation. Those services operate under their respective privacy policies.

9. Data Retention

Because the current version of the App does not collect personal data, GSDev does not maintain a database of personal user information generated through use of the App.

10. Children's Privacy

GSDev Engineering Tools is a general-purpose technical and engineering utility and is not specifically directed at children.

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

11. Security

Core calculations are performed locally on the user's device.

Because calculator data is not transmitted to a GSDev server, calculation inputs are not stored in an online GSDev user database.

12. Future Features

GSDev Engineering Tools is intended to develop into a broader engineering toolkit.

Future functions may include:

• Additional electronics calculators
• Protocol reference tools
• RS485 communication utilities
• Modbus testing functions
• USB-connected communication hardware
• Industrial communication diagnostics

If future functionality changes how user information or device data is collected, transmitted, stored or shared, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when that functionality is introduced.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

GSDev may update this Privacy Policy when the App's functionality, permissions, data practices or legal requirements change.

The current version of the Privacy Policy will remain available on this page, and the effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
